Pre-Algebra 14.5 - Decimals

On the number line diagram, you may quickly notice that any fraction that you choose will lie on or between two adjacent integers. For any fraction, you can also identify the closest whole number that lies right under its position. Unless the fraction itself is equal to a whole number, this “closest-under” whole number will only be an approximation. Below, you can continue to choose positive fractions and see their whole-number approximations.
