There are many possible pictures and diagrams that we could create to visualize natural numbers. The ones you have seen here are just two examples. The diagram that is most often used in mathematics is a number line, which you see below. The numbers are arranged in order like the bead diagram, but are shown instead as tick marks that are equally spaced on the line. The number line is the most common way in math to visualize number systems.
